Calling My Name
I walk with Earth under my feet
I walk with visions in my eyes
I walk with fire inside me
I walk with Spirits as my guides
When I feel like I can't breathe
I take a walk and I am healed
I'm walking back to the center
I'm walking through the sacred field
I'm walking deeper and deeper
Learning the secrets to the night
I'm looking into the fire
I'm looking past the light
When I feel like I can't breathe
I take a walk and I am healed
I'm walking back to the center
I'm running through the sacred field
I hear them calling my name.

We are all walking through very uncertain times in life. For many of us, we are filled with overwhelming fear and stress, as we see a global pandemic overtake the world and our country. It is easy to let this panic enter into your mind and quickly overwhelm you. I have found in life, fear and panic will never serve our Spirit in a positive way. When we feel these emotions inside us, we must pause and force ourselves to let them go. Let them move through us and move on.
While we are at home doing our part to stop the spread of this virus, be sure to take time in each and every day to go outside and touch nature. Let yourself connect with your center. Feel the energy of the earth beneath your feet. Take in the songs of the birds and trees. Let your body be enveloped in the breeze as it gently rolls by….and breathe. For it is in our solitude with nature that we will find the answers we each seek.
I was able to visit my favorite Nokota horses last week. It was a crisp morning but the sun was shining and I was able to spend several hours sitting alone in the pastures with these majestic, wild horses. Just the horses, nature and me. It was exactly what my Spirit needed.
I hope these images will fill your heart with peace and calm in the storm. Stay safe and healthy, my friends. Use this brief pause in our everyday lives to return to that which is most important in life…Love.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will help you.
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
