When my family moved to Surf City, NC, we were blessed to find a wonderful neighborhood on the mainland, just a mile from the island. Our nextdoor neighbors, the Manleys, were the first people we really met. In the years we have lived here, we have enjoyed their family and some good laughs! So when they asked me to photograph their family at the end of summer, I of course jumped at the opportunity!

Their session date fell during a week of endless rain and thunderstorms. However, on the evening of their session, the clouds lightened up and we had beautiful sunshine filtering through a sky of passing clouds! The star of the session was their youngest grandchild and oh my, was she adorable! We made sure we photographed everyone together and then the smaller groupings of couples and siblings. I was excited to grab some photographs of a new engagement and a new relationship, as well!

The lighting was amazing during this evening session and the outfit colors and styles coordinated so perfectly together, right down to that cute hair bow on their youngest! This is a great example of incorporating dark and light solid colors with a couple patterns thrown in. It gives a timeless feel to your images and avoids having everyone match!

Enjoy your gallery, Manley Family! Thank you for allowing me to spend an evening with you all and capture so many beautiful images for each season of life you are all in!

My fall calendar is open and booking and I would love to connect with you if you are considering booking that next Family Session, Couples Session or Senior Session! Summer and fall on Topsail Island are beautiful! The days are still warm, the crowds have cleared out, and the sun and ocean are still welcoming! Here to capture the magical moments between you and your loved ones

I believe it is in our DNA to be connected to nature, animals and each other. When I look through the lens of my camera, I want to highlight this connection and preserve it so you can share your story with future generations.
